The rink will host a 12 days of Christmas celebration, including live musical entertainment from December 13th to December 24th. Rumba Calzada, a local Latin jazz and salsa band, will perform on New Year’s Eve.
Skating is free for all ages for those who bring their own skates. Those without skates can rent a pair on-site, for a fee. An on-site concession stand will also serve warm drinks and snacks.
The ice rink is open from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on weekdays and until 11:00 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
Entrance to the rink is free and skate rentals are $5 and include a helmet.
Hot chocolate and snacks are sold at the ice rink’s concession stand.
The Robson Square Ice Rink originally opened in 1982 but closed in 1991. It was later renovated and reopened in 2009 before the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics.
